A Message to Our Customers: Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Madeline Island Ferry Line has been committed to keeping our employees and their families, our customers and the communities we serve safe. The decision to temporarily reduce ferry service on Sundays is an action that was not taken lightly. Reducing Sunday ferry service allows us flexibility to schedule our crew in a way that keeps them safe and to plan for a possible outbreak among the crew that could further shut down ferry service. We appreciate your understanding during these challenging times.
The Madeline Island Ferry Line is operating until further notice on a revised schedule that supersedes any previously printed or posted schedules. Schedule is subject to change due to COVID-19 situation and ice/weather conditions.
Winter Ferry Schedule: Beginning January 7, 2021 (Thursday) until further notice, we will be running the schedule posted below.
Effective (Monday) January 25, 2021: During our winter operating season we require reservations (Monday thru Friday only) for the 7:30am and 8:45am trips to Madeline Island and the 3:30pm and 4:30pm trips to Bayfield for ANY vehicle measuring over 19 feet in length and ANY vehicle with a height taller than 6 ½ feet. Due to limited capacity on our ferries NO trailers will be accommodated on the 7:30am trip to Madeline Island and the 4:30pm trip to Bayfield.
Reservations will be taken in the order received. Vehicles with reservations MUST be in line 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Vehicles with reservations arriving late or vehicles without reservations will be accommodated if space is available at the discretion of the Captain. Please call the ferry line office at 715-747-2051 for more information or if you have questions. Thank you.
